the blog isn’t closing, whoa, calm down everyone.
as you probably noticed, Jotien doesn’t run the blog alone. He said he’s leaving but we have 7 posters left: me, flip (bolachisgratis) J, postpunklover, ravinglunatic, masterbates and radioshoes. Sure, he was a big part of this community, and will be missed, but since there are lots of comments begging him to come back, maybe he’ll reconsider. So, remember feedback is always appreciated, specially if you liked whatever we post.
also, expect some big changes in the near future that will be announced sometime soon. One of them deals with album reviews and bands looking for promotion – but more on that later.

this is a relief! I think we should all be better about commenting and letting everyone who runs the blog know how much we appreciate their hard work. Running a blog IS hard work. I’ll make sure I comment on the albums I’ve taken that I really enjoyed. Thank you for this fantastic blog! I’ve been following you guys for awhile – is the forum still active?

I think, the fact that so many persons wrote ‘oh no the blog is closing ahhh’ is a sign of our times, too many blogs, too many distractions, people do not even stop to read carefully, it’s nice to stop from time to time, seriously

Emily, the forum still exists at http://bolachasgratis.rapidboards.com but I guess the majority of the users doesn’t like/aren’t computer savvy enough to post in a forum, so it’s inactive most of the time.
But I’d be happy if people started posting there again.

I’m still sad… Jotien was big in rare Folk, Alt-Country and other stuff I love… I hope the others can bridge this gap, so we users won’t have to do without these genres. That would surely make me stray away… Goodluck to the rest of the team!

A few thoughts:
1. I love the blog, visit it every day, but don’t say THANKS near enough. I truly appreciate all the effort that goes into it, and will try and let you know that more often!
2. I can’t believe people EVER complain about a broken link or a post. My gosh, folks, just go away! These people are taking their own time and own dime to share this, if things aren’t perfect and there’s an occassional hiccup, just let it be.
3. Always enjoyed your posts, jotien, and sorry the buttheads wore you down.
4. Look forward to any changes in the future, please don’t disappear!
